These "pretty" looking cookies are very popular in Mauritius, commonly known as Napolitaines. Short bread dough , filled with strawberry jam in the middle and topped with icing. Be it at a party or casual afternoon, you will always be treated with a napolitaine on special occasions.
Nice food blog! I'm from Mauritius too and I was looking for napolitaines on google when I stumbled on your blog. I was actually wondering if the napolitaines we have in Mtius are unique to our island or maybe some other countries have those kind of napolitaines too.
